Abstract:
The 8 photographs document geological and botanical observations of Bohumil Shimek while in New Mexico, c.1903 - 1907. Photographs are undated and are grouped by number. Photographs are numbered and include typed descriptions listing a combination of location, type of geological formation, and type of plants. Subject matter includes desert, lava beds, cedar and other vegetation. Locations are in Carrizozo desert, New Mexico.
