Abstract:
This diary contains notes on Carriker's collecting trip to Peru to collect birds and possibly other types of specimens from 16 January to 23 July 1932 possibly for the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. Notes are narrative in nature and also include notes about daily activities, itinerary, route, and Carriker's reflections on his surroundings. Notes on collections include elevation information and scarcity or abundance. Carriker travels to many places within Peru; localities include but are not limited to Vegeta, Paramonga, Utcubamba, Atueu, and Chochamba. Includes an unlabeled photograph of a woman.
