Abstract:
An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities and corresponding collector numbers. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 27 October to 10 June 1948 in various locations within the Peru, Brazil, and Mexico. Collector numbers 28869 – 29472 are included. Occasionally, notes become long and narrative, and will sometimes include general descriptions of area vegetation. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, and sometimes physical description of the specimen that includes its measurements, color, and other information. Localities include but are not limited to Pucallpa (Loreto-Coronel, Peru), Iquitos (Peru), Caisada (Amazonas, Brazil), and San Andres (Mexico). Specimen labels (with coordinate information, occurrence, date, and description) entitled “Plants of Peru” are inserted between pages 192 and 193.
