Abstract:
An inserted table of contents contains a full listing of localities. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 8 December 1943 to 20 August 1944 in Colombia. Collector numbers 21393-22136 are included. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, collector number, and sometimes detailed physical description of the specimen that includes its measurements, color, and other information. Some entries are diary-like. Localities include but are not limited to various areas of Cundinarmarca, Santander, Boyaca, Magdalena, Meta, Tolima, Choco, Antioquia, and Caldas. A letter from Tom Bellis (Chemist) to Fred W. Pearman (Chief, Colombian Cinchona Division), subject line "Antioquia Remijia as a possible source of quinidine", is inserted at the beginning of the book. 195 pages of notes.
