Entries are usually dated, and describe observations of terrain, vegetation of sites where collecting, weather, travel by rail, list of plants (with notes about rarity), geological descriptions (layers, appearance, composition) and sketches their characteristics around rivers and streams. Includes unidentified sketches. Locations include Cloudcroft, New Mexico; Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
