Abstract:
This field book contains three "catalogues" of botanical specimens collected from approximately 8 March to 18 August 1915. The title page to the catalogs contain the dates 1914-1915; it is possible some specimens were collected in 1914. Collector numbers 1-2207 are included. O. F. Cook is identified as one of two collectors for these specimens on the spine title of this item (probably provided by the Smithsonian Institution Libraries), but G. B. Gilbert is identified as the collector on the title pages of the specimen catalogs. Taxanomic name of specimens, locations, dates collected, and some times physical description and description of locality or surrounding environment is included. Localities include, but are not limited to (Panama) Chagres River, (Peru) Posco, Ollantaytambo (valley), San Miguel, Tucumago Valley, Santa Ana, Pinasniocj, and Lima.
