Abstract:
This volume contains notes taken by Harbison in Tennessee, Alabama, and possibly other southeastern states in 5-17 October 1900. Collector numbers 3257-3338 are included. Harbison collects a wide variety of plants. One frequently collected genus includes crataegus, a member of the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Mount Cowan (TN), Sand Mountain in Marshall County (AL), and Sand Mountain Jackson County (AL). Some collector numbers are followed by an "equals" symbol (=) and another number (ex. 3258=2247/2). Harbison also includes name of specimen, and sometimes additional information such as measurements, abundance, soil description and a few words about the specimen's surrounding area.
