Abstract:
The 3 field books document L. Walkinshaw's observations of Michigan Sandhill Crane Nests, 1976. They include correspondence, tables, photographs, maps with notes, and observation notes. Observations of nests are organized by nest number, with location, date, environment, surrounding vegetation, measurements, quantity and appearance of eggs, attending birds, fellow observers, and time of day. Locations include sites across Michigan including but not limited to the counties of Jackson, Chippewa, Luce, Mackinac, Delta, and Alger.
