Abstract:
Wetmore records observations of birds in the Washington D.C. area in 1913. Notes are written in a notebook supplied by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Observation are made mostly during the summer, and include sites around the USDA grounds, Woodridge, Virginia side of the Aqueduct Bridge [site of Francis Scott Key Bridge], Georgetown, Chesapeake Beach, Bladensburg, Four-Mile Run, and West Union, West Virginia. There is one entry on March 29th in Lawrence, Kansas. Entries consist of journal style entries, occasionally bird counts. Most of the notebook is blank.
