The notebook documents field work along the coast of New England, North Carolina, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana, October 31, 1916 - February 14, 1917. Includes Grampus stations 10399-10463. Entries are ordered by station number and date. They include time of day, latitude and longitude, weather, sea conditions, water depth, bottom composition, and descriptions of nets used for collecting and resulting specimens (with type, quantity, and sex). Locations include the vicinity of Gloucester and Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts; Boothbay Harbor, Maine; Cape May, New Jersey; and Fernandina Beach, Tampa, and Pensacola, Florida.
