The notebook documents field work of William W. Welsh along the New England coast, Grampus stations 10377-10397, August 10-28, 1916. The entries are recorded by station number, indicating time of collecting, method, bearing, type of specimens (clams, crabs, sea robins, scallops, shells, quohogs). It specifies scallop and clam dredges as well as otter trawls. Some entries include water surface temperatures.
