The motion picture documents Waldo Schmitt's work during the Smithsonian-Bredin Belgian Congo Expedition, 1955. The 53 minute motion picture exists as Reel 23; film transfer with wet gate; 3/4" U-matic videotape; July 6, 1995; and digital file. Includes closeup shots of insect specimens, local inhabitants fishing, collecting specimens along marshes, vistas of countryside, local communities (including major buildings), river ferries, river shorelines, traditional building huts, a dam, and ruins.
