Abstract:
This field book is the first in a number of field books Boynton used in 1900 during collecting trips in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and perhaps other Southeastern states. This field book notes specimen 2001-2202 collected between 20 March and 24 April 1900. Boynton collected a wide variety of plants, especially flowering plants. One frequently collected genus is Cretaegus in the rose family. Locations include but are not limited to Monticello, Tallahassee, De Funiak Springs, and Pensicola in Florida, Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama, and Albany, Georgia. Boynton also includes brief descriptions of the specimen and the soil.
