The Journal includes to copies, one in French and the other in English (annotated) of the Yacht Mareva, recorded during the Smithsonian-Bredin Society Islands Expedition, 1957. The journal details weather, locations visited including islands and town names, conditions at sea, breakdowns and repairs, latitude and longitude positions, specimen collecting locations and types gathered (listed by common name), events during voyage, and specimen preparations. Locations are through out French Polynesia Society Islands [Îles de la Société] and Tikehau Atoll including Bora-bora and Moorea.
