Abstract:
This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 20 June to 31 August 1977. Notes contain daily lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. A news clipping and letter are inserted at 8-26-77. The clipping is about arms sales in El Salvador and over use of pesticides in Central America causing illness. Eike sent this clipping to Frederic R. Scott asking if the pesticides might be affecting the bird population. The letter dated 6-14-77 is Scott's response.
