Abstract:
This field book contains field notes on birds taken from 19 August 1971 to 9 January 1972. Notes contain lists of various birds spotted in Virginia. Most of the birds listed were observed at Eike's home on 6207 Newman Road, Fairfax or in the surrounding area. Birds observed during day trips to Shenandoah Shores, Wachapreague, and Virginia Society of Ornithology chapter meeting at Bull Run Park. Other locations may be included. Notes occasionally include weather and temperature information, quantity, time spotted, and the sex of the birds. Eike also observes many Monarch butterflies.
