Abstract:
The photograph album is compiled by A.S. Hitchcock from Mary Agnes Chase’s images. Subject matter includes images of vegetation; colleagues; agricultural fields; residential structures; trails, mountain ranges. Several of Chase’s identification numbers are referenced. Locations include: Bello Jardim (Pernambuco); Rio Ipojuca; Garanhuus; Pernambuco; Paulo Affonso near turbine station; Itatiaia; Serra do Cipó; Rio de Janeiro; Vicosa; and Serra de Gramma. Most images are numbered and captioned. Some images have been digitized by SI-Archives, those are indicated by their identification numbers record in pencil next to the image.
