Abstract:
The second of five diaries document Waldo Schmitt's work during the Walter Rathbone Bacon Traveling Scholarship Expedition to the West Coast of South America, 1926-1927. The diary covers October 19, 1926 - November 23, 1926. Entries are headed by date and journal style. They discuss specimens collected and studied; personal observations including about local populations (including opinions of American food brands); personal and professional daily activities; and recommendations for expediting travel. Locations through out South America including Peru.
