Abstract:
This field book documents Hubbard's collecting trip to Arizona from 4 February to 21 June 1898. Hubbard's notes are narrative and describe personal and collecting events throughout the day. Hubbard begins his trip in Florida, just leaving Crescent City, and collects briefly in Miami as he passes through. Hubbard collects near Tucson Arizona in Santa Rita, Madera Canyon, and perhaps other locations in Arizona. Insects collected include but are not limited to beetles (Coleoptera), Trichoptera, and termites (genus Termes). Descriptions of insects often include specific information on where and what surface the insect was found.
