This collection consists of field notes of Waldo L. Schmitt (1887-1977), zoologist with the National Museum of Natural History. These materials document his research of crustaceans in the Dry Tortugas (Florida), the Bahamas, the Galapagos Islands, and Antarctica. Materials also include scientific illustrations, transcripts, publications, and maps.
