Goldman from 1892-1906, and this collection represents, in part, the field notes from Nelson's work collecting botanical specimens. See related collection (Edward William Nelson and Edward Alphonso Goldman Collection, circa 1873-1946 and undated) for his collecting of birds, mammals, and other specimens. Some of the field books in this collection appear to have been contributed to by both Nelson and Goldman.
