The records include correspondence, memoranda, reports, statistics, and photographs. Also included are a small amount of records documenting professional activities and publications of Manville. Records pre-dating the establishment of the Bird and Mammal Laboratories in 1958 were primarily created by Young and Frank G. Ashbrook as staff members of the Section of Wild Fur Animal Investigations, United States Fish and Wildlife Service. See also Record Unit 7171. Several items relate communications from the Bird and Mammals Laboratories at Sand Point Naval Air Station (NAS) Seattle, Washington. |A significant number of items are photocopies of reports, and have not been cataloged as part of the registry.
