Sticks of tinted mother-of-pearl, carved à jour, incised, and inlaid with steel paillettes. Slips of bone. Single leaf of silk gauze weave (crossed warps) embroidered with steel and possibly celluloid paillettes of different sizes and shapes. Mother-of-pearl washer and metal loop at the rivet.

Description:
Pleated gauze fan is decorated with silver sequins, spangles and metallic embroidery in a design of spirals and scrolling forms. Shaped and pierced mother-of-pearl guards and sticks are dyed mauve and decorated with cut-steel piqué dots. Sticks are attached to bone ribs. Cream-colored box.
