Description:
Design for a painted porcelain plate, rondel. Scene in garden behind a grand house, right middleground. The lady of the house, center foreground, discusses the grafting of bushes with the gardener. A small child plays, right foreground. Two figures of gardener's assistants in left middleground; one holds the sapling while the other fills dirt around its roots. An orangerie, left background, amidst trees and bushes, appears behind a low garden wall.
