Description:
Design for lighter for Diamond Match Company. Perspective in graphite and pastel on paper vellum shows rectilinear object in metal with blue finish. Rounded upper and lower edges and planar surfaces save for rectangular element above; this features horizontal streamlines and is set off from overall volume. At left, horizontally ridged button slopes out from side; when depressed, this triggers the lighting mechanism, seen above as rectangular panel wherein DIAMOND is engraved.
