Description:
Rectangular, with rounded corners, featuring printed advertisement for S.J. Moreland & Sons. The front displays red, white and blue rectangular reserve with freighter boat illustrated in oval at its center, inscribed "England's Glory," "Buy Home Made Goods," "Moreland Gloucester," "Trade Mark"; "Use Matches" inscribed in blue outside rectangle. Inscribed in blue on reverse, "Compliments of S.J. Moreland & Sons, Gloucester. Manufacturers of Safety & Paraffin Matches, Also Wax Vestas." Lid hinged on side. Striker in recessed groove on bottom.
