Description:
Cover plate for the book, Très Admirable Bestiaire Fantastique (Very Admirable Fantastic Bestiary ). At center, large framed white oval with printed text naming the designer of the book, book title, description, and publisher. Frame surrrounding oval is decorated with an inscribed banner and leafy vegetation at bottom and palmette forms at top. Above, two grotesque and ugly winged figures hold a cornucopia, from which dangles a black spider. Below, a third winged figure gestures upwards with his right hand while covering his mouth with his left hand.
