Description:

A fireplace set into a shallow niche. The fireplace decorated with carved scrollwork at corners and in center. The mirror decorated heavily in upper part with flowers, scrolls, etc. and a circular painting depicting a triton with a girl. Below, profiles with wall molding with inscription. Inscribed, upper margin: "Decoration de cheminée pour un grand appartement / elle est logée … d'une croisée"; lower left center: "A Paris che Mariette".
