Description:
Printed cotton with three bands of pattern, with motifs in irregular, organic cartouches. In the top row, the Union Jack alternates with the Imperial crown. In the second row, a rooster alternates with a map of Ghana. In the third row, Ghana's flag and coat of arms. Text appears between the rows: at the top and bottom, "6th March 1957 Independence Day." In the middle rows: "6th March 1844 The Beginning of Colonial Rule." In black on a white ground.
