Description:
Elaborately embroidered handkerchief of fine white linen. Corner design worked in naturalistic flower spray, bird's nest with baby birds, and a pair of adult birds with overhanging flower clusters. Latter are worked with raised separate flower petals, possibly made and attached separately. With openwork and buttonhole details in centers. Adult birds have raised wings. Partly free from ground and probably made separately. Edge is scalloped and worked in a kind of lambrequin design.
