Top, the elevation. The sarcophagus stands on a base on a pedestal. Alternate suggestions are made for its crost, suggesting a broken pediment at right, a cover at left; escutcheons are in the center, topped by the monogram of Christ surrounded by boughs, all serving to carry candles. Four candle brackets rise from the top section of the pedestal (with an alternative suggestion). The front shows a wreath and two palm boughs.
