Description:
Ceiling divided into 9 rectangular and 4 square compartments. Central horizontal rectangular panel shows Triumph of Peace: at left, small genii with wreathes and seated winged Victory; at center, pedestal inscribed PACE with statue of peace and altar inscribed GIANO. Behind altar stands priest, before kneel worshipping figures; at right, two females approach altar, one with basket of fruits, one with thyrsus. In four square panels within octagonal compositions are personifications (perhaps Athena) of the Arts: Painting, Sculpture, Architecture and Music or Poetry.
