Description:
Sketch for Cooper monument. Aedicule, crowned by a pediment. Four Corinthian columns resting on a pedestal, of which the front is decorated with a scene in relief. Four steps at base. Scheme abandoned for Cooper monument, but later used for Phillips Brooks monument in Boston. Reverse rough sketch for a monument consisting of two sections and a pyramidal roof, obliquely shown.
