Description:
Inverted U-shaped panel for arch. Solidly embroidered in flat canvas stitches with polychrome silks. The dominant motif at top center is the Deposition. Four small medallions on each side enclose scenes connected with the Persecution and Crucifixion of Christ. Interspaces are filled with cherubim and angels bearing symbols of the Passion.
