Description:
An ornament print with a central design for a medallion or the lid of a circular watchcase depicting a New Testament Biblical scene with Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus with two winged angels in a landscape with a palm tree to the right, probably during their flight into Egypt. The roundel is flanked by three frieze designs featuring cartouches, scrolling acanthus leaves, ribbons, flowers, crowns, a sun, and putti. The plate is numbered and signed.
