Description:
Pages 1 to 4, text introducing a series of designs for different styles of stove heaters, made by a Parisian ceramic manufactory. Each plate is described and printed twice, once in black ink and once hand-colored.
Mottled leather binding with a blind tooled triple fillet border along the edges of the covers, gold tooling on the spine with lettering ‘COLL / DE/ DESS / DES / POELE’. Marbled endpapers and red textblock edges. Leon Decloux Ex Libris with the inscription in red ink: No. 233 pasted onto center of upper cover pastedown. Above, an etched binders ticket, lettered: ‘Louis Douceur/ Relieur Ordinaire / Du Roy/ Rue d’Ecose pres/ Saint Hilaire/ A Paris’ in the center of an oval cartouche.
