Description:
Design for a crown canopy (baldachin) bed with the crown supported by two poles, along the side of the bed and projecting from the wall. The crown is topped with a pineapple finial and corner feather finials. The bed curtains are tied back. The headboard and footboards are the same height and carved with flowers, dolphins with scrolling acanthus leaf bodies, and vases with flowers. The bed linen is decorated with floral motifs, and swags of hanging textiles. The bed skirt features a central oval cartouche with the French Royal interlaced L’s. A scale below the design. The plate is titled, numbered, and signed.
