Description:
A design for an interior wall featuring ornately painted panels with a central chimneypiece, overmantel mirror, and large double glass-paneled windows on either side. The panels and the curtains include flowers, festoons of flowers, tassels, incense burners, ribbons, fleurons, and scrolling acanthus leaves. The backplate of the fireplace features the French Royal coat of arms, with a crown and three fleurs-de-lys. The mantel is decorated with leaves, and rosettes in the corners. The overmantel mirror is framed with a leaf and ribbon molding and draped with a textile and festoon of flowers. A garden with a staircase leading down and balustrade is faintly visible through the windows. The plate is numbered.
