Description:
A plate of six designs for the letters ‘S’, ‘T’ and ‘U’, from a series of decorative letters, published in Pouget’s ‘Dictionnaire des chifres […]’. The plate features six ornamental inhabited letter designs, two per row, featuring putti, mythological characters and creatures, a shepherdess, a vase and a pyramid, clouds, water, and pastoral landscapes, with rococo ornament, acanthus leaves, scrolling foliate, beads, garlands of flowers, and friezes. The plate is numbered.
