Description:
Design for an interior wall elevation featuring paneling, for with spaces for mirrors or paintings, designed by Blondel. The section of the wall features three panels, with highly decorative over panels and cornice, with a painted lunette with figures in a landscape above the central panel. The decoration with rococo and grotesque moitfs features diaper and rosette pattern, herms, putti, fleurons, masks, rinceax, scrolling leaves, and acanthus leaves. The dado paneling is plain with sculpted moldings. And a central diamond design. The plate is titled and numbered with a scale to the left of the design.
