Description:
Design for an interior alcove with a central bed upholstered with textiles, passementeries, and feather finials. The alcove is framed by columns, caryatids, and a balustrade. The central arch features a blank cartouche held up by flying putti and decorated with festoons of leaves and fruit. The sides feature roundels with sculpted busts. The cornice is decorated with repeating patterns of fluting and waves. The alcove walls are decorated with tapestries, with windows to the left and a door to the right. There is a figure lying in the bed with two women standing to the left of the bed. A group of figures in the far left, leaning against the balustrade.
