Description:
Plate 6 of a series of 6 numbered plates. Symmetrically-designed panel with grotesques. At lower center, two crossed swords in shields over an ax. Swirling cartouches made of garlands at either side with sphinxes above. At upper center, two grotesque putti wearing battle helmets and carrying shields--crossed arrows at left and right. Ornamental decorations include armor, weapons, and symbols of war.
