Description:
Two circular frame (tondo) designs, arranged horizontally on the page. The sight edge of the frame on the left has lamb's tongue and dart molding, surrounded by fluted cove, and bead course ornamentation. The top of the frame features a richly carved ribbon with a wreath of flowers and branches of oak leaf; the bottom of the frame has a smaller carved ribbon and crossing branches of oak. The sight edge of the frame on the right likewise features a lamb tongue and dart pattern, followed by fluted cove in the center, and the egg and dart molding at the back edge. The top of the frame has a carved ribbon in front of a large shell, and garlands of flowers tumbling down the sides; the bottom has scrolling acanthus leaves and branches of oak leaf. The plate is signed and numbered.
