Description:
Folio 6, plate 6 of a series of 7. Design for a fountain. Rocaille fountain design with two tritons amongst a number of large shells with water flowing. Each figure blows into a conch-like horn, from which pours a stream of water. Below, two dolphins or sea creatures. The fountain is situated within a niche, with the face of Poseidon contained within a shell form above.
