Description:
Entryway and exterior elevation of the length of the temporary structure erected on the Place de la Bastille for the celebrations in honor of the marriage of Louis Dauphin and Maria Teresa of Spain given on February 23-26, 1745. On the balcony of the entryway are statues of putti playing musical instruments and with theatrical masks; there are also Watteau-esque figures at the balcony. The staffage depicted at the elevation view, indicates the great height of the structure.
