Description:
Plate showing elevation and cross-section of the exterior and interior of the short axes of the temporary structure erected on the Place du Carrousel for the celebrations in honor of the marriage of Louis Dauphin and Maria Teresa of Spain given on February 23-26, 1745. In these perspectives, a painting of Apollo at his lyre (top) and of putti harvesting wheat (bottom) can be seen. The print also features figures at work, including musicians preparing to set up.
