Description:
Views of the interior and exterior elevation of the temporary halls constructed on the Place Louis le Grand (now Place Vendôme) for the celebrations in honor of the marriage of Louis Dauphin and Maria Teresa of Spain given on February 23-26, 1745. Between the trellised arches are vignettes of individuals strolling (above, the exterior) as well as people crowding the banquet tables for food and wine, and dancing (below, interior).
