Description:
Landscape and architecture sketch showing a view of turf-covered houses and nearby docks, likely witnessed along the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada. Clustered closely at center, the structures' linear forms intermingle and dance with one another. At left, a long, flat structure is shown built on silts with a doorway and ramp facing us, as an elevated walkway extends away from it to the right. Behind it at center, a smaller structure with a chimney and gabled roof is similarly paired with an elevated dock, which extends to the left. At far right, a tree's foliage--or some other kind of vegetation--is loosely rendered.
