Description:
Botanical and landscape sketch showing a view of trees in the interior of the Jamaican jungle. One tree at center--the focus of the composition--bifurcates into two separate boughs at center, while several plants grow in the crux created by the split. The tree's right side is covered in hanging vines. A portion of another nearby tree is visible along the right margin and is largely cut off. Trunks and stems are loosely suggested in the background by upward brushstrokes at lower center, which lead to a mass of vaguely rendered green vegetation.
