Description:
Landscape sketch showing a distant view of Tequendama Falls near Bogotá in Colombia. Situated in the middle distance at center, the tall and voluminous falls pour cascading water into a steep, cliff-strewn declivity, which fills with kicked-up mist. The river itself descends towards the viewer, obscured by a nearby, heavily wooded hillside before curving into view again at lower left. The slope at center rises to a cliff-strewn mountain with a rounded top at right. Another steep and heavily wooded mountainside frames the view at left.
Verso: Unfinished landscape sketch showing incomplete outlines of steep and heavily wooded mountainsides at left and right, likely around Tequendama Falls near Bogotá, Colombia.
